A Halloween outing with a local purpose
Halloween lights, carnival rides, and family-friendly frights are back at Opportunity Village's Magical Forest in Las Vegas. HallOVeen runs October 2–4 and October 9–31, 2026, at 6300 W. Oakey Boulevard, with nighttime attractions across a 2.5-acre outdoor setting.
The festival is in its 13th year. Proceeds support Opportunity Village's work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, giving the seasonal outing a community purpose beyond costumes and candy.
HallOVeen 2026: Quick visitor guide
Where: Opportunity Village Magical Forest, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd., Las Vegas.
Dates: October 2–4 and October 9–31, 2026.
Hours: Sunday–Thursday 5:30–9 p.m.; Friday–Saturday 5:30–9:30 p.m.
Admission: Starting at $24 according to the event listing; ages three and younger are free.
Tickets: Official event page.
Parking and accessibility: Check organizer guidance before traveling.
Dates and hours to know
The park is scheduled to open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The box office closes 30 minutes before the park closes. The box office closes earlier than the attractions, so plan to arrive with time to enter.
October 15 falls within the event's scheduled run, and Las Vegas Weekly lists HallOVeen for 5:30 p.m. that Thursday. The festival is not limited to one night, however, so families have other opportunities to attend before Halloween.
What families can see and do
The Magical Forest features Halloween decorations, illuminated trees, pumpkins, and playful spooky characters. Its attractions include the Forest Express train, Cheyenne's Enchanted Carousel, the Avalanche Slide, Rod's Mini Golf, and the Wizard's Wondrous Whirlpool.
Hal & Hally's Slightly Spooky Funhouse adds another activity for visitors who want a little Halloween atmosphere without committing to a traditional intense haunted house. A trick-or-treat area and nightly entertainment give families additional options between rides.
Some activities may have individual restrictions or different availability. Review the attraction information before promising younger children a particular ride, and allow time to explore rather than trying to fit everything into a short visit.
Tickets and planning ahead
General admission is listed from $24 in Las Vegas Weekly's event coverage, while the organizer offers different discounts and ticket arrangements. Children age three and under are admitted free. The organizer lists discounts for seniors, military personnel, and first responders, along with a group ticket option for purchases of ten or more.
For 2026, tickets are date-specific. Choose the night you plan to visit rather than assuming a ticket works on any date. Opportunity Village recommends buying online because individual nights may sell out, although on-site ticket sales are also available when capacity permits.
Check the official ticket page for the total cost, included rides, and current exchange policy before paying.

Food, costumes and comfort
Visitors can find food and treats at the event, including options inside Camelot Hall and along the main thoroughfare. Shopping areas offer another way to spend time between activities. A beer garden operates on select evenings for guests age 21 and older.
Costumes are welcome, but adults should check the event's rules about face coverings. Because HallOVeen is outdoors, dress for the weather and choose shoes suitable for walking around the park. Families with strollers or mobility needs should consult the organizer's accessibility information in advance.
Why this event matters locally
Opportunity Village's mission is to empower, employ, and serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supporting that work is part of the reason HallOVeen has become a recognizable seasonal tradition for local families.
An event with multiple dates also gives residents flexibility. Parents can pick an earlier school night, visit on a weekend, or plan a group outing without relying on a single Halloween evening. Arriving near opening time may help families with younger children who prefer not to stay out late.
Before you go
Start with the official HallOVeen page for the latest dates, ticket choices, attraction details and event policies. The October 15 Las Vegas Weekly calendar is a useful cross-check, but the organizer should be the final source for last-minute changes.

I wish the parking details were listed here. Has anyone found out whether accessible parking is close to the entrance?
Tasha B.I haven't found a current parking map either. I'd check with Opportunity Village before going, especially if you need to park near the entrance.
It's nice that kids three and under get in free. I'd still want to know which rides have height restrictions.
I'd aim for a weeknight since the weekends could get busy. Remember the box office closes before the park does.
Renee P.Good call. We went on a weeknight last year and the train line was pretty short. I'd still get there early enough for the box office.
A weeknight could be a good option. Thanks for highlighting the timing: the box office closes 30 minutes before the park, so it’s worth arriving with time to enter.
Is the funhouse gentle enough for a preschooler? Slightly spooky can mean different things to different kids.
Date-specific tickets make me a little nervous with kids. I'd check the exchange policy before picking a night.
Love that the proceeds support Opportunity Village. Does anyone know if the train ride is included in the $24 admission?
