Gracie Nevada Instructor, Tony Reel, has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 20 years and has been teaching this art for 10 years. In 2013, he received his black belt from Grand Master Relson Gracie, son of Helio Gracie. Gracie Nevada's focus is to provide students with the highest quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction available, in a safe and positive learning environment that is available for both kids and adults. The mission of North Star Jiu-Jitsu is to provide private and semi-private lessons guided by the five elements of Jiu-Jitsu: standing self-defense, striking, clinching and throwing techniques, grappling, and philosophy. At North Star, we recognize that Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art with a low retention rate among new students, to combat this we provide our students with clearly stated goals, patience, and the programs to follow their North Star. Though we teach self-defense, North Star Jiu-Jitsu is a competitive school that encourages participation in tournaments.
